Mental Models
MM is a chosen set of beliefs and method to interpret a given context; usually underpinned by a less-conscious paradigm or world view. - Peter Hollins
In simple words, mental models are how we understand the world. Ref: fs.blog
Our mental models guide our perception which will then helps us understand how things work. In our mind, mental models provide us with an expert in something we're dealing with. So, the better our mental models at something, we more accurate we understand at it.
As a leader, you might need to have this mental model:
someone who serves the team.
someone who facilitates processes & productivity.
someone who coaches and trains the team.
someone who represents the team.
someone who improves processes or continuously looks for opportunities to improve practices (with feedback mechanisms).
💡 By developing a strong understanding of mental models, leaders can empower their teams and drive success.
